- SDG 6: Clean water and sanitation
How the project works
United for Justice provided youth living in transitional housing with an equitable opportunity to develop new skills and address their right to basic living necessities. A variety of products were distributed to homeless shelters in the community that expressed a need for items including winter hats, mittens, and hygienic products.
Project Impact
This project had an impact on over 50 youth living in transitional housing across the cities of Brampton, Mississauga, and Caledon. United for Justice made significant contributions to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by providing resources such as warm clothing and hygiene products to impoverished individuals in the community, thereby enhancing their security. Additionally, it played a crucial role in promoting the well-being and health of youth, an often overlooked and underfunded demographic within the community.
Project Mission
The issue of inadequate resources for underprivileged youth in Brampton is more prevalent than ever before, and we believe that it's time for a change. Our goal is to help youth by creating a safe space for them in our community, whether it is through mental health initiatives, fundraisers for Peel's youth shelters, or through drives for various purposes.
Project Team
Our team consists of bright and passionate youth who want to help better their community.
